Our children are at the centre of all programs. That is the reason, we choose a language that children of all ages can understand intuitively: the language of play. When we say play, yes, we do mean the act of going on the playground and playing –- but also creating an alternate reality by imagining and sharing what is possible to change through our activities.
Our ‘PLAY-ducators’ conduct age-appropriate and customized activities on the playground in a manner that is fun and approachable. At the same time, it is important for us to create a safe learning space where children can trust to open up and express themselves freely. Another unique aspect of all our programs is the emphasis on gender. We train our facilitators with care, so that they can disarm the natural resistance there is, with gender-integration in action, gender-neutrality in words, and gender-inclusivity in purpose.
We work with children between the ages of 8-18. This includes underprivileged children who exist at the margins of society (children of migrant workers and children at shelter homes), school-going children in low income/government schools as well as children who study at high-end private schools.
